March 2010 WOW... Did that year go by quickly. I must have really been having a lot of
fun.. Actually, it was a very good year for Creative Photography by Carol. A special thank you to all of my customers who
purchased one of my photographs. Old Glory was the favorite again this year. This year 10% of my profits from Old Glory sales
will be going to the Guiding Eyes for the Blind. I'm looking forward to another
wonderful year of sharing my work with all of you. I'm also working on another website to make it easier to purchase my photographs.
So keep an eye out for the announcement, hopefully early this spring.. Until
then, keep smiling, cause you never know when I'll be in your neighborhood snapping away.
March 2009 Just got
back from taking down five of my pictures that were one display, along with pictures by several of the Candlewood Camera Club
memebers, at the Cyrenius H. Booth Library in Newtown, CT. I feel like we should live in Newtown with all the shows I've
done there. I've added some
new pictures to the site which I hope you will enjoy. It has been a very long cold dreay winter and I am looking forward to
the warmer weather so I can get out and take more pictures. I'm hoping to spend some camera time with my four grandkids.
They have taking pictures with my camera everytime we get together. They like Grandmummy's new toy. Until the next time, enjoy the new pictures..
January 2009 Happy New Year! I hope you and your family have a mighty fine 2009! I'm looking forward
to big changes in the coming months. 2008 was pretty GREAT for me and Creative Photography. After the show in August, I had
another one in October at the Cyrenius H. Booth Library in Newtown, CT. I've had my pictures on display there before,
but always with someone else. This time I went solo. It was very exciting. The woman who I worked with from the library had
my name in all of the local newspapers. It was awesome. I felt like a celebrity. This month we have an exhibit of employee's art at the place I work. It was judged by
a local artist and my piece, Le Restaruant, came in second place. I was honored, because there were a lot of exceptional pieces
entered. I hope to have more shows this year. Might even do one with the grandkids, they are living in Connecticut
for the next 5 months so I think it might be fun to do something with them. We'll see.
August 2008 It's been a long time. But when you're having fun, time just whizes
by. I've been snapping up a storm lately. My husband and I spent two wonderful weeks in California with my daughter and
her kids. Her husband, our wonderful son-in-law, is currently in Iraq, so it was nice to be with them, while he is so far
away. Please remember him and the rest of our troops. While
we were there we all had cameras and we were snapping every day. Total pictures after two weeks was over 2000 between the
7 of us. The four year old was snapping just as many as the rest of us. I'm happy to say my work is on display again. This time at the Mocha Coffeehouse in Sandy Hook, CT. It's a cute little place with very tasty goodies which
are enjoyed even more when eaten while sitting on the outside deck overlooking the Pootatuck River. Great place to go and
just chill and enjoy. So if you are in the area, stop by. My work will be there for the month of August.

February 2008: Happy New Year! 2008 has already started out to be GREAT! I
am currently showing my work, along with three other local photographers, at the C.H. Booth Library in Newtown CT. We are
being sponsored by the Newtown Woman's Club. I am very thrilled and honored to have been asked to participate, especially
since I'm the only one in the group who is not from Newtown. Our work will be on display throughout the month of February.
If you are in the area, please stop by and check it out. I'm pretty sure you will enjoy what you see.
September 2007: For the latest news click here.....
August 2007: Since my last writing, in June, I've been very busy with photographing events. Which is wonderful.
~ Before I tell you all about what I've been doing, I want to make sure you notice the new addtion to my site. Paulie's
Page. I am so happy to have my grandson join me with his photos on my website.~
Ok, now on to what I've be
doing. I've been doing parties from one year old birthday parties to 50th wedding anniversaries and a whole lot of
others in between. I've loved photographing them, more than I could have ever imagined. I t's so cool to go through
all the photos, picking out the best ones or making the good ones GREAT!!!!! I love to take a picture and try different
filters on it to make it look like a painting or funky art, or change it to black and white to bring out the beauty of the
subject without being distracted by the colors.
I've also been doing some collages . Taking a pile of
pictures and composing them into a picture full of memories. I love the expression on their face when they see the finished
product.
My husband and I went to California the middle of July and between the two of us we took about 2000 pictures.
1500+ were mine. I was able to narrow them down to 370 to print... Be watching my website for some of those pictures. While
there, I convinced my grandson to let me put his pictures up on my website. Not that it took a lot of convincing to do that.
So be sure to check out Paulie's page to see his pictures.
Still waiting to share some exciting
news with you. Hopefully next month sometime. Will keep you posted. Until next time.... Have a GREAT day!
June 2007 I have some exciting news to share. As you may know from my About section, I belong to a local
camera club (Candlewood Camera Club). Let me tell you a little about the club so you can better understand my story. We meet twice a month from
August til June. Every month one meeting is a competition meeting, where we bring in our work and judges from other camera
clubs come to judge them. The second meeting is usually a program where we learn more about photography or have some sort
of workshop. Now, the reason I'm telling you all of this is because for the past three years we have had a special
competion. All of the members of the club have the opportunity to enter a print of something they feel shows patriotism. Instead
of having regular judges to choose the winner, the members of the club vote for the one they like the best. The winning picture
is then donated to the VFW Hall where we have our meetings. The first winner was a picture of boots in front of the Vietnam
Wall, the next winner was of soldiers in a field at the Korean War Memorial and this year, I am very proud to say, was
of my picture of the Flag painted on the trees. So now it hangs along with the other two pictures. I am very happy to have
it there. A friend of mine has told some of the legion halls he belongs to about the picture and it looks like our hall may
not be the only one to have it hanging there. I'm thrilled! Who knows where it will be hanging next. I personally have
visions of it hanging in the Oval Office. How cool would that be? Keep checking to see where it will appear next. Kind of
like Where is Waldo? Until next time.... have a GREAT day! Me~
